Hi, I know how frustrating it is when insurance companies come up with all these road blocks. All of us have dieted up to our pre surgery weight. A diet with a dietician isn't going to make things better. Any dietician you can find will work. The time will be done before you know it. Hang in there. It will happen. Mona

I got a letter from insurance a little over a week ago saying that because I meet requirements, they'd cover me with one exception...I have to see a dietician/nutritionist for a minimum of 6 months. That pushes my potential surgery date back to probably May. WAAAAHHH! I wanted to to have made some progress with WLS by then. It also doesn't help that there is only one dietician/nutritionist here where I live and she won't return my calls. I am probably going to have to look at different options as far as that goes. Any suggestions, etc. would be great!

Hey Steph,

Congrats on your approval!!! I didn't have any probs with BC/BS except I was required to do a 6 month supervised diet, which really isn't a problem, just a hoop. I had my surgery with Dr. Anthone on October 3rd and I am feeling great. Is Dr. Sudan doing the DS for you (I cannot remember if he does the other surgeriers or not). Good luck and time will fly by, I cannot believe I am in my 2nd week of recovery already.
