I had my lap band done Sept 29th and have had one fill. When do I feel the restriction? I have never had the "pain for eating too much or had any vomiting that I read about on other boards. l. I do try to watch what I eat. Protein first then veggies then fruits. Except last night I tasted the green beans and ate them first they were so good.
This is scaring me I think I should feel like I am full.
I am not sure how much I should or should not be be eating.
Being Thanksgiving today I am really worried. I know I need to exercise. I need a hip replacement (have an appt Monday to get the surgery date scheduled) and so stuff like walking is very painful, I do walk as much as I can and I do climb stairs at work my office is upstairs 23 steps in all I count them everytime I go up and down. This sounds lazy but I need to find some kind of exercises that I can do sitting down. Any suggestions
I have lost some weight but not sure if it is enough for the time frame. Maybe I am just having a pity party day worring about all this stuff. Barb
How about Grand Island NE. ? I live 25 mi. from there. It's not a hugh town (but it's a fat town ). But of course you could say that about almost any town anymore. I think it's important to get the word out to the smaller towns also . You know , let them know their options . There's a doctor in that town that does weight loss surgery, but as I understand from people who doctor with him , he advises (strongly) bypass. When I first started going to a support group in that town (before I started my own) All that went to that meeting kept telling me not to get a lap-band because that doctor told them , it was a poor option. I learned through your website what a Good Option it was. That's what I choose and in just six mos. I've lost 75lbs. We need to get the "WORD" out about ALL THE OPTIONS (not just the ones this doctor prefers).
