Hi Hazel,
1. I am happy with my weight loss. My diabetes and high blood pressure are gone and I have lots more energy.
2. I still follow up with my surgeon. I get my band calibrated each year.
3. I plan on staying home for Christmas. I went to Kansas City last year and I want to stay home.

yes, because I am down a lot of excess fat and no because I have put on some lbs that I want to take back off.
2. Do you keep up with your surgeon as you are suppose to? Why or why not.
Yes. I value my health and the only way to insure that it stays good is to do the labs and visits as required.
3.What are your plans for Christmas?
Haven't really made any yet, but it won't be anything big or exciting.

I think we need to start being more active here on the NE board. So I am going to try and start a daily post to hopefully get people to focus and be a passionate part of OH.

The group is going fantastic. We had a new member last week. He is one of Western Surgical/Regional West people. He is going to join Jill, Claydene and I when we go to Ogallala in January. You will never believe what my new ailment is. I have staph infectionl in my nose. Not my sinus's, my nose. I really look like rudolf. So if he gets sick, I can guide Santa's sleigh.

I had the RNY two years ago and I am happy with it. But it requires work to keep the weight off just like all the procedures do. But it is worth every bit of work. I put on some and I needed to put on a little, but not as much as I did. Now I am working at dropping about 25 pounds that I put on. Everyone says that is too much, but without a goal, we do nothing. I am addicted to coffee period. That is my mainstay of life. Hazel

LOL. I'm so addicted to Starbucks that I went and got a job there.
Anyway, I had lapband surgery and it worked really great until I got pregnant with my youngest and after he was born, it just quit working. So now I'm getting it removed and having Duodenal Switch done.....that is my first choice. If DS is out, then I will have RNY. I'm just done struggling with my weight.
By the way, I LOVE your user name too!

Tammy, I don't know Dr.Anthone, but I do know that we have a lot of really fine Bariatric Surgeons in Nebraska. What surgery did you have and why are you thinking about revision? Just know that I will be by your side though whatever you decide to do. By the way I love the STARBUCKS QUEEN.
