Topic: RE: Midlands Choice Insurance
Look at your Principal policy. It should tell you there whether your documentation is ok or your PCP. I used to work at Midlands. They are a PPO network. They tell you if ____ hospital or doctor is in your network. Principal is your insurance company. They are the ones that would have all the requirements. I don't mean to tell you something you may already know but just want to clarify that for anyone else reading the post.
Topic: RE: BAD PORT PAIN ???
When my port flipped, I didn't have extreme pain but I did have pain. You may have popped a stitch or all of them. Worth calling the doc about and having a fluoro done.

Topic: Midlands Choice Insurance
I'm new to this post so here goes. I am nearing the end of my 6 month waiting period for DS surgery. I'm shooting for mid-January for my surgery date. I have Midland's Choice with the Principal group. I have jumped through the hoops they requested per their denial letter. How do I go about recording my exercise record. Can I just handwrite it you think?? And should I have it verified by my PCP? I didn't keep an accurate record but I think I can get most of it down. With aching joints it's hard some days to exercise. My fear is it will be denied yet again because insurance will think I didn't do enough exercise. Everything else they requested I have done. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Topic: RE: G.I. Surgeon~~~~~
I had Dr. Goering do my surgery almost 3 years ago. He is EXCELLENT. #1 in my book. From the very begining he and his staff were wonderful. They did everything possible to help with ins and answered any and all questions I had. The hospital staff were amazing also. Dr. Goering has an entire bariatric program whi*****ludes a nutritionist. I cannot think of any drawbacks I had at all. If you want to contact me feel free.

Topic: RE: Dr. Anthone?
Hi Tammy, I am new to this post but I'd like to answer your question. I work as a surgical tech with Dr. Anthone. He is very compassionate and professional with his patients. I highly recommend him. He will be doing my DS hopefully mid-January, insurance permitting!! He is highly skilled and very knowledgeable about the DS. I'm very sure you will be completely satisfied with him. Good luck and keep me posted. Susan
