I took off 2 weeks from work, the first few days I felt lousy from all the air they pump in you. I also wasn't drinking enough at first and that can make you feel kind of sluggish.

I live in Grand Island, but have had all my other surgeries (not the lap band) done in Kearney, I am really impressed with the care I got there at Good Samaritan.

I see you live in Lincoln, maybe you could get a job with the state of nebr. not sure what type of insurace they have now but many years ago they had BCBS.
Also the federal govt. has good insurace that is what I have, maybe you could ck out what jobs are available , I think there is a web site for federal govt. jobs.

Yeah!...........rest up.....I rested off and on for like 10 days...and then I just woke up with all kinds of energy and it hasn't stopped yet....thank goodness...

Not knowing about the medicare or medicaide......but Dr McDREAMY....I mean Dr Michael Hovey is an associate in Dr Thomas White's office.......and ever so

Hi all! I am back home safe and sound in Kearney and finally at last I am on the losers bench with the rest of you. Surgery went very well and the lap band is in place. Saw the doctor today and got my staples out and then headed home. Spent time with my daughter in Lincoln after surgery. I will write more later it is late and I need to relax and hit the hay. Thanks again for all the kind words and prayers, they did work. Linda eloc29

Hi all! Thanks so much for the wonderful support. I think that at this point, since I am looking into finding a more challenging career anyway, maybe I should explore finding a new job with better insurance. I feel sleazy asking, but does anyone have any pointers on great places to work with good insurance? I promise I have the best of intentions.

Mona, I intend to be at the Bolder Boulder, so yes, I can start to train. Send me all the details so I can get it on my calendar. I would really like to start another business of my own. I am thinking of a bakery maybe. Keep me and the decisions that I have to make in your prayers. Hazel
