At this time he does not accept Medicare. He is currently waiting to receive his COE documentation from Medicare. He said it will be a couple of months. Contact his office and get your name on the list and they will contact you once they have their COE.

Boy do I know the feeling of cabin fever!!!!!!!!  Been experiencing that for almost 2 months.   I did go to church today and then to Wal Mart, tried pushing a cart and using my cane at the same time.  I should have been banned for reckless driving in the store the cart went everywhich way but not the way I wanted it to go.  I walked the store twice and then was totally exhausted.  I had decided that is the only way to get stronger is to push myself. Monday I will gather up all our tax stuff. Tuesday if the weather is nice I will go have our taxes done. Wednesday I have to go to Kearney to see my orthopedic surgeon. Thursday maybe do nothing Friday the same at Thursday Saturday the same as Friday As you can see I lead a boring life. Barb

I'm pretty sure he takes medicare.   Not sure about the kind you mentioned since I don't know anything about medicare.  I think Mona is right about the Center of Excellence but at Dr. A's support group I went to back in July, he said that they were expecting to get their Center of Excellence approval at the beginning of this year sometime.  I would definitely call his office and ask when they expect that to happen.  He is definitely worth the wait!!!!!  I had surgery with him about 2 years ago and I think he is great!! and so is the DS!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank you!!!! The support on this site is incredible. Thanks so much to everyone! I am so glad I found it! You have all made this so much easier for me to deal with. I love my mother very much and was completely freaking out at the thought of her adding another surgery into the mix. I want so much for her to be healthy and OUT OF PAIN, but the more I read, the more I see that this may very well be one of the best things to happen to, and for, her.  THANK YOU! And congrats to all who are sitting on the "losers bench" and good luck to all those who are hoping to be there soon! I am sure I, as well as my mom, will have a lot more questions as we go and it means alot to know this site, and the awesome people that make up the community, are available. Thank you.
