Hazel, when we lived south of town we had horses and one of our mares gave birth just outside of our kitchen window(fence about 6 feet from window) I was so wonderful and the little stud NEVER thought he was a horse, I think he thought he was one of the dogs. One day the gate was open when I noticed he was approaching the back door and I think if I had held it open he would have come inside. His name was Star and yes he had sort of a star on his forhead....just thought I would share this with you...hugs, beth

I can understand that. When I went to Omaha I took a different route instead of the interstate and saw a lot of beautiful scenery and yes I did see some cows but not a newborn.

Thank you for the advice.
I did have some soup broth for lunch and so far so good. Then later tonight I had an carnation instant breakfast and I think maybe the chocolate in it didn't agree with me. Or maybe it was too cold. Yesterday when all the problems started with me I was trying to have a low card slimfast that was really cold and was chocolate. I think this episode will turn me off of chocolate which could be a good thing I guess.
The pain is gone though

I have Dr Hovey (aka...Dr McDreamy!) he is in the same office as Dr White at Immanuel.....I was originally to have Dr White...but Dr Hovey had a date open sooner and the proctor was in..as it turns out Dr White was in the OR too!
Dr White does his fills under fluro...Dr Hovey doesn't...just in his office...and the fact that my port is on top like an outey belly button he doesn't have any trouble.
Their staff (Roxie especially) is very helpful and kind.

I recently started a new job, and the drive to and from work is about 30-35 min. each way. On the way to work, I am just tired and not paying attention to anything but the road. But on the way home is when I notice the little things. Last night on the way home I saw a baby calf. Black with a white face. Bright white, and so new that the mamma was just cleaning him up. Tonight I saw him and his momma and he was getting his dinner. Maybe things like these don't mean a whole lot to you, but these are the wonderful things that make my life worth living. Hope you all had as wonderful a day as I did. Hazel

Beth I am so glad that you had such a wonderful meeting. Seeing how I now longer have a support group to attend, I will be joining yours whenever my job allows it. I have the 17th off, so Chuck and I will be there, but we will be comin home that same night since I have to be at work the next morning. Hazel

Hi Barb, it is normal to have swelling after a fill. You may have to remain on liquids for a few meals till the swelling goes down. Don't push eating solid foods if it is too painful. Get some fluid out if you can't eat solid food by Monday. Mona

I am feeling better this morning, I am able to keep sips of water down without pain. Guess there was some swelling that just needs to heal. So it will be liquids for a few days. Maybe that will get me to losing again.
I told Stuart this morning, this better be worth it or I will be really upset. I took today off of work and am being really lazy pampering myself.
