Have been thinking about the lap band surgery for over a year now...  In the past couple of days I really feel like I've decided that I want to do it and I'm ready to do it.  Just called my insurance company to see if it is covered and I found out my employer excluded it from our plan!  I'm feeling heart broken right now.  Is there any other options for me?  I'm not sure what the surgery and fills cost if you are paying out of pocket.  Most likely this wouldn't be plausible for me.  I am single, working full time and going to graduate school full time.  Money is tight.  I don't know that I could pay for this surgery. But please, anyone thats been through this let me know what you did!!!!

 Linda, Dr. Holloway will be glad to do your fills in Ogallala, he's my Dr. and he is from Scottsbluff. He is wonderful and I'm sure you will love him! He's done over 900 bands. I was one of his first 100 in 02. I will be coming with Mona when she comes to your meeting. Beth in NP

OMG    I am so disappointed that Dr. Sudan is leaving Creighton.  He did my lap band in Jan 2008 and I will miss him so much.  I don't know who I will go to for my fills now. Linda

Oh that makes me sick......I'm in my 6 month diet stage and was planning to have  Dr. Sudan for my surgeon.  Boy my best laid plans never seem to work out!!
