Topic: New Support Group
in addition to the support group meeting that is held in Sidney NE on the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the Ray Cruise Conference room at the Memorial Health Center I have started a group in Sterling Colorado with our neighbours right over the border!! We meet the fourth Wednesday of the month from 7 - 8 p.m. at the Regional Health Center located at 700 Columbine Street, Sterling Colorado. Call me at 308-250-4635 for further information.

Topic: What's New!
Hey, what has everyone been up to? There are some neat things going on in Western Nebraska. A new group is starting up in Chadron, Nebraska. Our first meeting will be April 20th at the chadron hospital at 5:30pm. Adele Huls and I will be starting it. Anyone from that area are welcome along with their support persons.
I am also organizing a couples retreat for wls patients in Colorado Springs. This will focus on how relationships are affected by weight loss surgery. This will be held August 26th- 28th. If you are interested in going let me know.
There is also a weight loss seminar in Colorado Springs on June 17th. It is a friday and saturday event. Lots of good speakers and information can be had.
Let me know if you are interested in attending.

I can tell you that Dr. White is an AWESOME surgeon! He did mine almost 7 years ago and I am still down 110 pounds!!! You are welcome to PM me if you need someone to "talk" to.

Hello All,
Well, my surgery is on Tuesday and I am sooo nervous!! I just keep praying that because I decided to do this for my kids that God won't take me away from them. I am so scared!!!! Anyone know of any ways to combat these anxieties???

I know its a bit of a drive for you but there is a great group in Omaha at Nebraska Methodist ; they meet once a month on Thurs evenings; give the office a call at 402-354-1320 and they can tell you when the next scheduled support group meets. Everyone is welcome !

There is a great support group at Methodist Hospital. They meet once a month on Thursdays. You could probably call the Barriatric Surgery office at 402-354-1320 and find out when the next scheduled support group meeting is; when you attend you can have them put you on the email list. Everybody is welcome.
