Stomach Made Smaller??

I had surgery 2 years ago this month. I lost 70 of the 100 lbs I wanted to lose. I need surgery again to repair a very large hernia. I asked my Dr if he could make my stomach smaller again because I think it would help me lose the rest of the weight if I couldn't eat as much. He told me that he never did that but lots of people ask. Has anyone ever had or heard of this being done??

Hi Gloria, the pouch can be revised and made smaller if the pouch was too big to start. Sounds like you are doing great with your weight loss. Your surgeon may not want to do any revision surgery since you are still losing. Usually revision surgery is for people who have regained their weight. Good luck. Mona
