Hi everyone, Well things went well for me on Tuesday morning, Dr Hung was able to do my RNY laproscopic so Iam home. Feel good and ready. I really expected to feel sick or sore, but nope no real pain. I walked around 5:30pm Tuesday. My aunt had her surgery on the same day(Band) so she went home yesterday. I tried to find Katie but I didn't run into her in the hall. I'am hoping she's doing well. I feel good, good, good, & good. Dr Hung is a special person, I had alot of scar tissue he had to get rid of in order to perform my RNY laproscopic. He's a real gift. I'am home resting and drinking my protein. Thank You every one Brooke

Hooray! I'm glad to hear it went well. As my husband puts it, Dr Hung is a pretty nifty knitter! If you feel up to it next week, Lisa has her post-op support group on Thursday. I think it is at 4:30, but I could be wrong about that, so check first. I went to the pre-op group tonight. There was a big crowd! There was a good speaker (2.5 years post op) and lots of good questions and answers for both of them. ttyl Sally

I didnt see anyone who had surgery at St E's. I was in horrible shape after my surgery and I had an allergic reaction to the mophine and was uncomforatible until I was able to get liquids, which wasnt until I was almost ready to leave the hospital on thursday. But boy oh boy does that liquid medication do wonders. I am glad to hear you are doing well and on the road to recovery. I myself am finally doing much better. How are you doing the protein shakes? I havent found it easy to transition to food yet. I have only been on liquids since thursday and I think I am ready to get started with the shakes. Trial and error here nothing planned or pre meditated. I am finding it difficult to motivate myself to drink water let alone drink protein shakes. Let me know what is working the best for you? Maybe I will try that. How about solids such as eggs and soups. I have tried a few soup at hands and I think I am going to do these for awhile. Help me! Katie

Katie, I know things will get better, I've hit that curve this morning when I just whipped up a protein smoothie, and out the door I went. I bought several types of proteins powders, but I settled on the beneprotein from Dr Hung's office. I've heard you can get it at a better price somewhere, but I'am just happy it mixes well without separating. You can add it to anything, I mean anything. Last night I went out, on a hunt for some soups. I found tons at my local super saver. So I strained my mushroom 98% fat free and added my 2 scoops of beneprotein, oh Katie, it was good. So go out and find what kind of soup you liked before just modify them and add protein. Eggs I'am not even going to try eggs for some reason I heard or read that you could get sick at this stage so with that I treat eggs for now like the plague. I'am not a real lover of jello before so I thought I'am not going to like it now, but I was wrong. I just added my beneprotein, it was easy going down and good. I found a fruit juice I just loved. No sugar it was strawberry/banana I added my beneprotein to it this morning, Katie, Katie, Katie Iam in love. If you use your blender it gets so frothy it's heaven. I've got to go and mix myself up some. You take care Brooke
