Brooke and Katie

As I understand it, both Brooke and Katie had surgery this week in Lincoln. Has anyone heard from them? Brooke? Katie? Are you home and recuperating nicely? Janet

I heard thru the grapevine that they were both doing well on Tuesday night. Hopefully they will be home and able to post soon. I live near the hospital and would have gone to see them, but I've been sick, so it's best I stay away. In fact, I was running a temperature of 101 on Tuesday AM, so I had called in sick that day, and they had to call me and fire me on the phone. I was kind of glad at that point that my co-worker had passed on her cold and sinus infection. Much better to be fired 'remotely' than to have to be there in person, I think. I've been to the doc and am on antibiotics, so hopefully I'll feel better soon. Sally

Janet I'am so rude I should have contacted you sooner than now. Thank You for inquiring about me. I'am doing really well, the fluids are going down well. I've modified my cream soups but with a little beneprotein, they taste so good. I add beneprotein to everything from juices to water to soups. I'am getting plenty of protein. I did make the mistake of not getting the right multi-vitamins I got centrum multi-vitamin liquid YUCK! That would be the one thing I would change. Dr Hung, is a real gift, I had only a 70% chance to use the laproscopic instead of a open incision. When I woke up that was the first thing I asked. Nope no big incision. So when you get ready you'll really like him. Once again thank-you for your support. I'll be here when you get to the point of a new beginning or sooner if you need it. Take care Brooke
