Hello everyone!!!
I've decided that I am going the main participant in a "beat-up Lori" day. I am really an idiot. I knew that I wasn't supposed to do it but I picked up my granddaughter last night, several times. Then at one point I felt unbelievable pain in my lower left abdomen. It hurt to bad to even cry. I tried to find a comfortable spot, which was not easy. I slept with heat on it last night, which helped some. Until I had to get up and move this morning, the more I did the worse it got. Massaging seems to help it some, but my pain medicine (LORTAB ELIXIR 7.5 MG) doesn't even seem to touch it. When that burning pain in my abdomen hits, it stops me dead in my tracks.
Then when I headed out the door to go and see my regular doctor, I wasn't paying attention, and fell down my steps that were covered in ice. I scraped up my elbow, and can definitely feel it in my back. I had just taken my pain meds so that helped some. One bright spot in all of this I have lost 10 lbs since they weighed me post-op. YEEHAW!!!
I almost didn't go to school because of the pain, but did as I am trying not to miss too much, didn't do me much good as I was in pain the whole time, and then brought the wrong books.
When I got home from school the pain was so intense I called Dr Goering's office to see what I should do, a nurse called me back and I am going in at 4pm to see him.
What really ticks me off is that I knew better then to do it as she is 18 lbs, and squirmy. The falling down the stairs doesn't tick me off near as much, as I had less control of it.
Thanks for letting me vent, and I will keep everyone informed.
Love Lori
