3 DAYS TO GO & I HAVE A TEMP OF 102.7!

Hello Nebraskans, It's only 3 days tell my surgery, Iam feeling kinda sick. I had my Pre-Admissions on Friday. I swear people were coughing all around me. I wanted to just hold my breath. It was comical at the time, but Iam not laughing now. I took some Tylenol just now, does anyone know of any medicine, I can take to ward off this cold? And at what point do I call my surgeon? Or do I call my physician? Thank-You for listening. Brooke

Hi Brooke! I'm also in Lincoln NE and want to wish you well on your surgery! My husband had his RNY at St Elizabeth's on Feb 28, and Dr Hung did his surgery too. We think Dr Hung is THE BEST... so I'm sure everything will go great for you, too! His office even sends a rose in a bud vase to your room, that is there when you get there from surgery! I'm assuming that you'll be at St E's too? The bariatric coordinator there, Shelley, is fantastic, and all the nurses were really great too. I hope your cold won't mean a delay for you, but if so, it will just be a week or so, and then you'll be on your way! My husband has already lost 50 lbs! And me... I've got appointments scheduled for a sleep study and psych eval in the next few weeks. GOOD LUCK!!! Sally

Brooke, some say zinc helps.. my dh takes it sometimes as he is around lots of sick people. You will do just great, I'm sure. Are you going to support meetings there?
