Followup with your surgeon

Hi Everyone, I wanted to do my part in posting on this board. I wanted to let everyone know how important it is for you to follow up with your surgeon following weight loss surgery. Lap band patients need to see their surgeons monthly for the first year to get proper adjustment of the band and to make sure they are staying on track with eating and drinking. After the first year you won't have to see your surgeon as often. He will let you know how often he wants to see you. For gastric bypass patients it is vital to see your surgeon as he directs to check progress and to get lab studies done as well as a bone density study. Seeing your surgeon on a regular basis will increase your success in your weight loss journey. I wish everyone the best of luck in their weight loss journey. Mona
