Doctors appt. was great!!!

I had my Dr. appt. today and boy was I well informed!! I just have to wait for my approval now so we can set a date....please pray that it comes soon for me, and that I am APPROVED!!!!! I want this so bad I can taste the anesthesia already..lol. thanks all, I will let you know what happens. Steph

I"m glad your appt went well today! From the time of my consult till approval was 5 weeks for me. It took awhile to get it to the right place. But then the approval was fast. I hope yours happens fast for you too! One thing about it, this time of year time goes by fast. So hopefully it will go by fast for you. Keep us posted! Jess

Great News Steph!!! What doctor are you going to?? I hope the time fly's by for you!! I had to go to my regular doctor first, and had him make the request to my insurance. I haven't gotten to consult with the surgeon as of yet. I'm seriously thinking of Dr. Sudan...I've heard so many great things about him!! I just hope I can get that far!! PLEASE..PLEASE..PLEASE!!!! I am here in Grand Island and I am going through Dr. Goering. He has been wonderful in this process!! I spoke with the insurance today as recommended by the Doc. to find out if I need a psych eval and they told me no, that all they need and require is medical necessity, so that much we already have!! I am praying to God that all this goes through quickly. The lady I spoke with at the insurance Co. also said that once my file has been submitted it is usually quick and painless to get approval. She told me there are a lot of people that work with her that have had it and they had no problems with approval, and said also that those of us insured with them have the same quick response and approvals!! WOO HOO!!! I am so excited and optimistic now I feel like I am floating. So in case my bubble is burst, I will remain positive that all will work out for me Thanks everyone for your kind words and support!! Steph

Hey Lori, have you thought of Dr. Anthone. He's at Methodist and trained with the best. I for one think he's great but go to this link and ask about him. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/posts.html You'll get responses from people who've come from all over the country to have him do their surgery.
