Trying to pick a date

Hi I need some help from people who have been there How long is it before you can go back to work I work at a small school with grades one and two planning to have sugery in Dec dates offered are Dec 20 or 27 Now that the time grows nearer the butterflies are starting please any help you can give would be great love to all and thanks Mary

Mary It is best to give yourself the most time possible. If you look at some pages some say they go back to work at 4 weeks and some are 3months Myself I went back at 6 weeks but only work 2 days a week. Plan on coming home and going to bed. You need alot of sleep afterwards Sleeping is healing. I was getting worried about sleeping so much but then realized it was my bodys way of healing Use this time to take care of yourself You deserve it!!!!!!!

It depends on if you are are having the surgury LAP or if it is open. I know myself it was lap and I was ready to come back to work after 3 weeks. If it is open, plan on about 6 weeks. Debbie

I had lap RNY and was back to work in 2 weeks, I only work 4 hours a day at a desk job. One more week would have been better but I didnt have the paid time off,, Good luck, Jeanb
