Finally decided.....consult....

Well I had my consultation today. I've finally decided to have the lap band for sure. After listening to Dr. Forney and talking with him. Now I just have to patiently wait for approval!! I'm not a very patient person so we'll see how that goes! ~Jess~

Hey Jess! I've been wondering about how your consultation went! I've been offline for a couple of days though, so I was glad to see you posted. I'm glad to hear you decided on the band. I think you will be happy with your choice. Don't you think that Dr. Forney and Dot and Mona are great??? So how long before your info is submitted to insurance? How long before you can start hounding your insurance company? LOL! Did they feel you have a pretty good chance with UHC?? Tammie

Thanks for thinking about me!!! I noticed you haven't posted for a few days. Dr. Forney's staff is great!! Very cheerful! Dot said to give it about 4 weeks and then start calling UHC! So the first week of October! She said UHC appoves easily, it's just getting them to do it. They are slow about things! I'm so excited! Jess

I was reading through all packet of info tonight from the consult. I read in there I have to pay $1000 up front before the surgery. Not sure how I'm going to do this! I may have to wait along time for the surgery if this is the case. Yikes!!! Now I'm worried!! Jess
