Local Support Group

I'm just wondering if anything is being done about a local support group here in Alliance? I'm just seeing that it's going to be very very hard to attend in SB. If my DH wasn't gone for work so much it wouldn't be so bad. Plus we don't take our daughter to a daycare. So that leaves me with her ALL the time!! Kind of makes it hard to get to the support group meeting in SB. So just wondering if anything is coming along with this? Or if there are even enough people here for one. Thanks~Jess

Jess, I will call you tonight after 8(cell is free then) and if you would want to start one I can sure help you get started...with adjendas etc, with the price of gas i dont know when i could come there. On the other hand if you were to maybe just put and ad in the news paper with time, place etc. notify all the drs and the hospital there as of this info, i could make maybe one trip. trust me, you can do it!! OH is wonderful to help and we have a chapter leaders form on a conference call you can join in on. And if its okey i will notify Monica Gantz and she will see that you get the chapter leader training via phone. Thanks Beth! I'm glad to see a post from you! You can try calling me. That's a bad time for me though. If you have free weekends that would be better for calling me. 8pm is my babies bedtime. It can get ugly around here! LOL!! But you can try. I would love to get a support group together here. I want to go to my consult first before commiting though. Where wbe a good place to have it? Is 2 times a month best or how often? And I agree the gas price is outrageous!!! $3.15-3.31 here!! So hopefully if everything gets oraganized you could maybe come. How far is it for you? Maybe I will try and see if I can attend 1 or 2 in the next month in Sb to get an idea of what goes on. So maybe aiming for Nov or so to start. Hi Jess, I am trying to get one started in Alliance. I have talked to some people there and will have one going soon. Watch for notices in the paper. Thanks Mona! I don't read the newspaper very often. So I hope I don't miss it!! I readi t like once a week. I will try to make it to the support group in Sb when I can. Depends when my husband is home. I'll be trying to make one for sure as per the request of Dr. Forney today. Thanks~Jess
