support group

hey fellow nebraskan's I went to my first support group meeting last night..I am glad I did. just what I need to hear..I have made the decision to have it for sure a long time ago but now that I am in the almost approved mode I was feeling scared,,is it really what I want etc there were lots of caring individuals with lots of info... asked me what questions I had so a lot of the fears/uncertainites that I had were laid to rest last night !!!! yipee so now I am totally hiped and ready to be on the losing side...think I will call ins company to help it along.. have a great day!!! yes! It is tomorrow for Dr. Whites support group meeting. I am taking a bold step and will be leading it! I went to the regional ObesityHelp conference in July and will be sharing information I brought back from this. Debbie -126 pounds

Hi Jean! That's such great news! We also have a great support group here in North Platte. I really feel for the folks that are in areas that don't have that tool available to them. It sure helps to be able to talk to people how have been there - dont that, and also some who are in our own shoes not quite knowing what to expect. I will be getting the lap band surgery on August 16th in Scottsbluff, so my time is coming up pretty quick here! Keep us posted on what is going on with you!! Best of luck to you in your journey!
