Hello! I'm Jessica. I'm 26yo. Married for 4 1/2 years. We have 1 beautiful daughter that is 7 months old. I recently signed up here OH. I've made only a couple of posts. But decided to start posting more. I've been doing alot of research on GBS. And I've finally made the decision to go through. I saw my PCP last week. He gave me a referral to Dr. G Forney in Scottsbluff. I will meet him on Sept 7th. I'm really hoping my insurance will cooperate. I have United Health Care. I've been told it's one of the more leaniant ones. I did call UHC and they told if its "medically necessary". So hoppefully there aren't any loops! Well anyways I just wanted to introduce myself!! Take care, Jess

Welcome Jessica, I live in Omaha and the only thing I know about Scottsbluff is that is in the west west west part of the state and the agency I work for (Commission for the Blind) has an office there. Have you decided what kind of GBS you are going to have? Don't have much else to say at this time but wanted to WELCOME you to the board. Tootles Elaine

Jess, welcome aboard. We are so glad to have you. I am from O'Neill, Ne. I had lap rny done in January by Dr. Goering in Grand Island. He and his entire staff were wonderful. So far I have lost 100 lbs. in 6 months. I haven't heard alot about Dr. Forney, although he was one I considered before I found a doc closer to home. This surgery was a walk in the park for me. I had an easy recovery and have had no problems. I remember how frustrating it can be when first starting the process. If you need anything just email and I will try and answer. Rhonda 312/212/155??

Jess....I'm one of Holloway's patients from North Platte and I love my band! The staff in Scottsbluff are the cream of the crop!! Im just over 3 years out, lost 140 pounds and maintaining within 10 pounds. My health is the best its been in over 40 years. And to buy all the "cute" clothes instead of the "tents" is the best feeling ever! Well, guess I better get my beauty rest email me anytime if I can answer any questions or if you just want to [email protected] Beth

Thanks ladies!! I'm not sure what kind of GBS I will have. I'm pretty sure I don't want a band though. I imagine I will go over this with my surgeon. I'm not even that familiar with all the different kinds. I'mve tried finding books on it, but our library has none. Again thanks for the warm welcome! Take Care, ~Jess~
