I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck with BC/BS of NE.for a State employee wanting to have Gastric Bypass? I know different plans have become more restricted on the approval. I was hoping someone might shed some light.

I had BCBS with the university. They have an exclusion but it is a university exclusion not BCBS. So it depends on which branch of the state you have ins. with. Linda

I know people who work for the prison and are on state BC/BS and have had the surgery. Good Luck Nick

Thanks for the info. Nick. Have any of them had surgery this year? The reason I ask is that I heard it is more difficult to get approval from the insrnce co. Thanks for your help.

I work for the State and have bc/bs of NE etc. All of my information for the insurance is in the process of approval right now. Watch the boards and I'll post when I'm approved. Tootles
