Banded in Lincoln...doing well!

Received my lap band on Tues in Lincoln by Dr. Hung. I was patinet # 2 to be done at St. E. It went very well. I am recovering from the anesthesia and trying to get fluids in. Seems I get very full very fast. Just wanted everyone to know it was a very positive experience and the care from doctor and hospital was very, very, good. I could not have had a better experience! I'm happy to hear things went well for you! Welcome to banded life!! What protocol does Dr. Hung have you on now for food? Liquids for x amount of time, then mushies, then solids. Shelly things can only get better. I have been banded since 6 of 02 and have maintained for over 18 months now. I lost 140 pounds and am 135ish give or take 5 pounds. I would do it yearly if necessary. I had mine done in Scottsbluff, Ne by Dr. Holloway. I was one of his first 100 and to date he has done more than 600. The bands are out numbering RNY's there. Just do as your Dr. tells you and things will be fine. My band holds only 5 cc's. Hugs from Beth in North Platte
