The University of Nebraska Medical Center Bariatric Surgery Program now offers a monthly support group meeting for their patients that have undergone, or are thinking of undergoing lap band surgery at UNMC. If you are a UNMC patient, hope that you will join us for the monthly support group meeting. The first meeting was held March 7, 2005. All UNMC bariatric surgery patients are also welcome to join a new online Yahoo Groups based Lap Band Support Group. This forum is intended to provide additional support to others who have had, or are thinking about, the lap band weight loss surgery at UNMC. We are a unique group of individuals who strive to help and learn from each other in a united cause for permanent weight loss and a more healthy and enriched life.
