I am a Newbie

hello all... I have been lurking about this website for months now..getting bits and pieces here and there.. I starting the process of this weight loss surgery journey...I have received a package from my possible surgeon Dr. John Goering but thats as far as have gotten.. now I am filled with determination to see this thru..u are are wonderful to share you stories.. would appreciate any advice you all might have.. thanks, Jean

I had Dr Goering in Grand Island as my surgeon and so did my daughter. I am 10 months out and my daughter is 5 months out now .. I have lost about 82 lbs and I'm a slower loser. My daughter has lost about 75 in 5 months and is going much faster than me as you can tell. Dr. Georing is a great surgeon but don't expect much after that. I have seen him I think twice since my surgery once at about at month out and the second time about 5 months out and I will be a year out in July. My health has improved greatly and my cardiologist is very pleased with my weight loss so far and that was the main reason for the surgery with me. I can't say its been easy! But I can say it's well worth the sturggles you go thru to get to the end results! Hope things work out for you !! .. Sue
