I'm Overweight!!!!

Today I had my 9 month visit w/my surgeon and his scale weighs me in at 185.2...that makes my BMI 29.9. I am freaking overweight!!!!!! I am so excited. He said he was very proud of me and if I get down to 180 lbs I will be considered a complete WLS success. We discussed the options of a tummy tuck. He told me to wait another 3 months and when I go back for my year appointment, we will discuss it again. I'm good with that. I have never discussed a "goal weight" with him, but I asked about it this time and he said anywhere between 150 and 180. He then told me that this far out, I should be losing about 1 pound per week. So, in 3 months, I should be down to 173. That seems fairly easy, so I am going to shoot for 165. I think that would be a good weight to really get serious about PS. Anyway, enough rambling. Oh Cathy, that is so AWESOME! Who would have ever guessed we could be happy at being overweight! LOL! But compared to morbidly obese it is a dream, I'm sure! Can't wait to join you in the overweight category. Keep up the great work! Denise

Denise for you too, you are doing wonderful too! Do you go to a support group?? I love my band and would have WLS every year if I had too. I have been a size 4-6 and some 8's for over a year now so think this is where I will be for ever! In fact I just cleaned out my closet and got rid of all my 10's another major thing in my life.Hugs, fro Beth in NP
