I am really curious & somewhat freaking out

Do the insurance companies always contact your employer that carries the insurance before granting approval? I am insured through Midland's Choice with American Community. My employer is a very very small company and we already pay through the nose for this group policy. Does anyone have experience with this? I am wondering if they will raise the rates sky high on us because of my surgery? This is starting to make me freak out a little bit because I certainly don't want that to happen or for me to lose my job because I chose this route. Does anyone in here know anything about how this works? Julie

If your company hasn't already said they will cover it, the insurance company won't cover it. They should already have everything all laid out in the policy your employer has already approved. Just give the insurance company a call to see if it covered. Good luck! athy -108.5
