I Went To Infomational Session Tonight at Clakcson Hospital,I heard Alot of good things & bad things,learned alot of info to,I'm trying to decide between the Adjustable Gastric Banding,Vertical Banded Gastroplasty or the ROUX-EN-GASTRIC BYPASS,Dr McBride on does the ADJUSTABLE GASTRIC BANDING,VERTICAL BANDED GASTROPLASTY.So if I go with the ROUX-EN-GASTRIC BYPASS I will have to find a different Dr... So Im still undecided... Janelle

Dr. McBride does RNY. She did an RNY on me 13 days ago [and I am doing so well that I went back to work early.] Ruth

My husband is having roux en y on March 2nd with Dr McBride at the VA hosp in Omaha. She does RNY surgery also. Your best bet is to find out as much info as you can about all the different types and then make up your mind. Most Drs will recommend what they feel is best for you also. .... Sue
