Tomorrow is my big day!

I am having RNY surgery with Dr. White tomorrow. I am very excited to start my new life. I am also very scared. I keep going back and forth. One minute, I am day dreaming of my new life without all of this weight, and the next minute, I am crying. I made it through the 10 day liquid diet. It was hard. I never thought I would be able to go 10 days eating only liquids, but I did. I learned a lot of what to expect from reading all of these posts and from the support group meetings. I am so glad that I found this site.

Lynn, Prayers for an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. I am 12 days out and doing great. The first 2 days are the toughest. Get up and walk as soon as they let you. Everything will be fine. Each day gets so much easier. Rhonda

Thanks for your prayers Jean. Everything went well. Pain was kept under control except for in recovery. I walked quite a bit. Today, I woke up and just was really down. I guess I was mourning the fact that I have to make drastic changes in my eating. I then remembered all of the other reasons for having the surgery and felt better. What were some of the things that you ate in the days after surgery? Today, basically jus****er. I had a little broth, some of the purple drink they give you in the hosptial and that was about it. I am hungary.
