This is a link that someone had on the March 2004 Patient forum. I am almost 10 months post-op and there was information in here that I still found useful. If nothing else it is some interesting reading. http://www.wlsfriends.com/pouchrules.html Nick

Thanks Nick! I have heard of the water loading but really don't do it. Do you ? I am losing slower than most people but I am older and I keep blaming it on that. Did your weight loss slow way down after the first 6 months? I have slowed down the the last 2 or 3 months actually only lost about 6 pounds in Nov. But this month have already lost 4 lbs so far. If I could keep that up (5 or 6 lbs a month) I would be pretty close to goal in another 10 to 12 months. What ever I lose it will be way better than where I was at. .. Thanks for the site.. Sue

Actually the water loading is something new that I am trying. It seems to be working pretty good, especially the point of not drinking for 1.5 hours after I eat. It seems to take longer before I am hungry again. I have slowed down in my weight loss but am still averaging about 10 lbs a month. I had surgery in March and have lost almost 190 lbs so far. Nick
