Tummy Tuck...will insurance cover mine?

Hey ladies. I was just wondering if any of you have had insurance cover an abdominoplasty?? And if so.........what symptoms did you have? HELP!! I have an appointment on Monday with my General Practitioner in hopes that he will see that my excess belly skin is contributing to my back pain, I also have laxity of the abdominal wall. I have Blue Cross for Federal employees for my insurance. THANKS!! holli

I have heard that if you have documented episodes of skin infections under the belly, they will cover it. (Panniculitis) Just make sure that if you ever have this problem, you call your Dr.'s office and let them know, so they write it down. Also, if you develop an abdominal hernia after surgery, they will cover it.
