I'm home!!

Hey guys! I got home on Friday. I had my surgery Monday and everything went great. Everybody was very happy with my recovery and seemed like I was even running a bit ahead of schedule. If I hadn't lived 3 hours away I would have been able to go home much sooner. So today is 7 days post op and I'm feeling suprisingly well. I haven't thrown up once, I can get around with minimal pain. I still take about 2 naps a day, but can't fight that! And I am taking it easy. Most of the time I spend in a recliner or my bed. So lets just say I'm thrilled with everything right now! I go in for my post op appointment on the 30th. So thanks for all the support!! Jacquie

Jacquie, I'm glad to see that your home and that all went well with your surgery. I know that there is a support group here in Grand Island as well if it is any closer, it meets on the 1st and 3rd monday of every month at St. Francis Medical Center at 7:30 p.m.. Any way I'm glad all went well for you, take care and get lots of rest!

I heard that there was a support group up there but never got the details! I will definately work on getting up there for some of them. I am a girl scout leader and we have our meetings every other monday, but if that becomes a problem I may just have to change our meeting nights!
