good news/bad news
Well I finally got a call from the Dr's office. She asked if I was ready to make my appointment! I was like Heck ya!! So she started flipping through her book and she said the next date she has for surgery is January 24. That's where the bad news comes in. there may be insurance issues if we go into next year and my mom won't be able to come out then. I told her this and the fact that at the orientation Dr. White said to me and 2 women who were talking to him (and they asked about the year end being a problem) and he said that he would be able to get them in before the end of the year. So, she is going to ask him tomorrow when he's in if he can fit me in somewhere else. So please, please pray or what ever you do! I really, really would like to have this done this year. It would be so much easier and nicer!

Last year I was frantic. I found out in late October that I had a Dec 31 cut off date, after that date my insurance coverage would change and would no longer cover any weight loss surgical procedures. I was already tentatively scheduled for a March '04 date with Dr McBride. I contacted Dr McBrides office and was told no way could they move me up. I was absolutely certain it would never happen. I went to my GP and he recommended Dr White (who he was friends with) I went to see Dr White and he agreed to do what he could to help me. They went ahead and scheduled me, even though I had not had final approval from the insurance company yet. The insurance company dragged their feet and I thought I was going to have a heart attack, because I still had not gotten a final go ahead from the insurance company a week prior to the date they scheduled me. Finally, I got my approval on Friday Dec 5th, and had my surgery the morning of Monday Dec 8th. To this day I still feel that the entire series of events was a miracle. I remember going to see Dr White on Dec 2nd and I was so full of anxiety, and he promised me that if I didn't get my approval by the eighth that he would reschedule me for later in the month. Luckilly he didn't have to do that.
So I'm saying that if Dr White says he will do it, it is going to get done. Just have faith. I will pray for you too.
