Home from surgery..

Hello everyone, I am sorry I haven't posted here early, but I did update my profile..bad bad Di..lol Just wanted to let everyone know I have been home almost a week now and doing okay. A small bit of drainage from one of the lap incisions, but nothing to bad. Haven't had any pain meds since my second day of surgery and not having any problems with keeping liquids down, although still trying to get enough in everyday. Thanks everyone for the well wishes that I received, you have been a great support. Has been a total of nine days out and nine pounds gone forever..woohoo I did think it the weight might have fallen off a little faster at first, but mine was proximal, so that might be why and as long as it is leaving my body, I am very happy. Welcome Home!!!! You probably gainded some weight at the hospital. Many people do because of the IV fluids. You're off to a great start! Cathy -68

Hi Di~that is great!!!! It is quite a new life, isn't it? I was done on the 5th- open BPD/DS in Omaha. Took a 1/2 hour walk yesterday. Feeling so good. I agree that the hardest is the fluids... I gained 8 pounds the first day. Told them they hooked me up wrong, and I wanted a refund! HA Now down 18 pounds.Can already feel a change in my clothes. You keep up the good work!!!! Sheryl E.
