What do I do about employer issues

My employer (the most unsensitive company I have ever worked for) has the exclusion in my policy and I have spoken with them because my surgery is medically nescessary but got the response of "We have no plans on changing it". Is there any recourse or something else that anyone else has done with these problems I would love to hear what others have done in this situation.

That is such a BUMMER!!! Insurance is considered a benefit, they don't HAVE TO provide it at all, so in my limited understanding, there is not much you can do, other than change jobs.....
