Intro and plastic surgery ?

I've never posted on the message forums (that I can remember), but I've been a member of OH for almost a year and a half. My surgery was done by Dr. Dwain Rogers at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, on May 5th, 2003. I've lost a total of 130 pounds since then. I just got the OK from him to see Dr. Nagi Ayoub at Bergan Mercy in Omaha for plastic surgery. I'm nervous, since there's no way I can pay for this surgery on my own. I'm covered by United Healthcare through NE Medicaid. Do they have a good record of approving reconstructive surgery after WLS? I do suffer from hiradenitis suppurativa (boil-like lesions - pleasant, I know), and have scars under my apron and breasts, but have worked out a system where I can keep the dermatitis (heat rash) under control. Should I let that slide to make a better case? I would rather not, since it's so darned uncomfortable and, well, nasty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (Marked urgent because of the short timeframe involved)

I don't know anything about your insurance, but I would push for it if you aren't approved by them. I think that since it does negatively effect your life it should be covered. So good luck! Jacquie
