My fiance is having surgery later this month...or perhaps early September. We just found out about his approval Friday evening. If there are any NE members online...please post and wish him well. His name is Rufus Vaughn. I AM SO HAPPY FOR HIM! CONGRATS SWEETIE!

Congratulations Rufus. I am so envious. L'Tanya I also am a patient of Dr. Anthone and I also have an exclusion. I am in the 2nd appeal stage. I just may get some legal help if I don't get approved this time. Good Luck! Linda

Rufus, You will be totaly amazed at how you will feel in a month! I'm support group leader for Nothe Platte's group and soon to be Chapter Leader for Nebraska. I will get my training at 2004's Obesity Help Convention in Burbank, CA the end of Oct. I hope to get to as many support groups meetings as I can. Let me tell this surgery doesn't just save our lives and health problems, it unleashs the person hiding inside us... Best wishes and I'll send the WLS to watch over you and guide the surgeons hands.
