Anyone have an inconclusive EKG?

Yesterday I had to have a cardio stress test because of an irregular EKG last week during my pre-op tests for a August 30th RNY. My doctor said it was no big deal but indeed it did turn into a big deal. The cardio doctor said it was a border line ekg???What is that. I have to have another test today on the treadmill with a dye injected into my veins to determine if I need another test tomorrow. I am sooooo upset because I do not want a delay in my surgery. I guess I am wondering if this will completely cancel my surgery or what---I have NEVER had any heart trouble but I know the last two years I have been asking for it. Any experience with this? Please pray--I am sooo nervous and I know that doesn't help. Cassy M.

Hi Cassy, I did the pre-op EKG and my test came back unconfirmed! I am scheduled for the Lap RNY August 17th so I panicked BUT after a cardiologist looked at it 2 days later--I got the call from my nurse coordinator and she said everything was fine. I was VERY stressed for those 2 days and am glad it worked out. I hope your works out to have been nothing but a computer error or just needed someone to look at it to see it is okay. Sincerely, Cindi

Cindi--Good Luck on your surgery! I also live in Bellevue but we are not military--my dad was. My surgery is supposed to be August 30th but now I am not sure what will happen. I had three days of tests at a cardiologist and I still don't know anything. I will pray that your surgery is successful. We will be gone until the evening of August 17th--i will check in when I return. Cassy
