Surgery is 8/11 and dont have an angel yet?

I was hoping to hear from someone but there are so many people that need angels..lol I thought I would be okay but the nerves have started today. Im so scared. Im 24 with 2 children and a wonderful husband. I know no one is ever really on this message board but I thought with me living in Bellevue Ne someone has to be in nebraska and bored and wouldnt mind saying hello. Hi Latricia, Who is your surgeon? What hospital are you going to be at? I am 27 and have 1 child and have been married for a little over 5 years. I live in Bellevue and am scheduled for a Lap RNY- Proximal August 17th. I am getting nervous but my sister had an open RNY today and I talked to her tonight and she is doing good! I also had all my pre-op testing today and my EKG came out weird so now I am freaking out that something is wrong. I am not sure what an angel does but I am pretty sure I could be your angel. I am having surgery with Dr Mcbride at the University. I am having the Lap RNY also. I am so nervous I have two other friends trying to get approved but having a slow time with their insurance companies. An angel just emails and keeps in touch to help calm the nerves of the person going in surgery. i could also return the favor since your going 6 days later than me. I have two children. A daughter who is 2 and a son who is 5. I have a wonderful husband and am so scared im doing the wrong thing. Like im being selfish but I dont feel okay or healthy. Hi there, I am also having the Lap RNY with Dr. McBride. My son is 14 months old and I worry about the complications but I look at the bright side and the positives because the other thoughts just weigh me down even more. I found out today that surgery is on the 1st floor and most likely you will then go to the 6th floor to recover. Have you done your post op shopping yet? You know vitamins and protein and stuff? I am thinking I may go tomorrow or this weekend. I did go to Vitalady.com and order some protein drink samples so far I only tasted one and I hope it gets better from there I have read that not many people go to the support meetings, maybe we could form an alternative meeting or request the one that already happens be more geared to what we want??? Dont even worry about an angel..lol i would be honored .... I havent went shopping yet but I did find a protein shake that tasted so good..I know that sounds weird but its at walmart. Its called Edge. They have chocolate, vanilla, butterscotch and everything. Real good stuff though. And its cheap to. Im trying to find out if they sell it at sams to possibly buy it in bulk. A good meeting somewhere sounds good. I love to meet people. Ill do the talking if they want..lol 8-l Thursday I get to spend the day at the hospital doing pre-op. I have a condition known as malignant hyperthermia so i get to have all the fun. Ill be there from 7-4. Im sure they could have fit the surgery in there but of course they didnt. well this is getting long and I just keep talking so ill wait to hear from ya. Latricia Stevens
