Dont worry Sherri, we have all had to go through the psych eval. its standard procedure..Its just so you can be evaluated to motives and chance of sucess and willinness to change..It is a standart intellegent test, playing with blocks solving puzzles, basic math questions ,ink blot test , word association,, things like that.. then there are pages and pages of questions just to get a glimps of your out look on life..and a short interview with the doc.. the entire thing can take close to 3 hours but believe me, go in with a positive out look and its painless. I didnt have to see a nutritionist before hand but again, Im sure thats to see your food out look and willingness to understand and follow that new changes you will need to make in your new life. best of luck to you.. Hi Sherri, These things are small matters don't sweat them! My psych eval was a test basically, asking easy questions what you feel like, what you would do in certain situations ect. My pyschiatrist said it helps them know if you can handle the surgery mentally and also what kind of a person you are. Example...I'm shy and don't ask questions a lot and doctors intimidate me...so in my report to my docotor she wrote that in there and that he should be very thorough. The nutritionist will cover your eating habbits now and how you will have to change. I thought that this person would try and convince me i didn't need the surgery but instead she was very supportive and said she only knew one person ever that lost a considerable amount of weight and didn't gain it back. Hope this helps, Good Luck
