I'm here, im so depressed about having to wait for everything!!!! I just want to feel normal again. So have you had WLS yet or are you waiting? Are there more people out there from Nebraska? I had an Open RNY on 12/30/03. I know the waiting is hard. Lucky for me, I had a 1/1/04 deadline so I had all my appointments and date set in 2 months...I just got lucky since all my pre-op tests went so smoothly. Hang in there, it will be here before you know it. Chris E - Lincoln

I'm a patient of Dr. Hung's, scheduled for surgery in 11 days--5/25. I'm here in Lincoln too...let me know if you'd like to chat more. Andrea

I am not one of Dr Hungs patients, I had my surgery with Dr White. I attend a support group that is set up for his patients, but I imagine anyone can come. Our next support group meeting is Monday June 7 at the Holling education center (connected to Immanuel hospital) in the Happy Hollow room at 7 PM. I think the support aspect is so important. I didn't go for the first 3 months after my surgery and I felt very much alone in my journey. Just going the last couple of months has helped me alot, and I've met many very nice people.
