Anyone out there.....

Has anyone in Ne used insurance under Catholic Health Initiatives. They have hospitals in Kearney and Lincoln. Principal is the insurance under CHI. I am awaiting approval and had to send in lots more info. Just wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with them? Let me know and thank you.

Hi Shelly, I have Midlands Choice PPO under CHI from Kearney. Dr. Hung did all the work with getting approved but since I've had surgery, I've heard that the insurance companies, especially CHI based ones, have been making it more difficult due to the number of people that have had the surgery. There is also CHI in Omaha too. I'm in the process of seeing another surgeon about a hernia. I missed one appointment with dr. hung and he won't see me again. So I'm on my own. I had surgery March 2003. Just disillusioned about the whole thing. The surgery, post op support for those in out-state NE, and the support from the "weight loss program" that I don't feel like I ever saw. But people that I've talked with who live in and around Lincoln who have been to Dr. Hung have had a totally different experience. They have the opportunity to go to the "program" support group and get out of it what the "program" offers. I need to get off my high horse and send it out to pasture. It doesn't do any good now.
