What do you think?
I think he is an excellent surgeon. I couldn't be happier with him. He has great bedside manner and is very down to earth. His staff is great...very friendly and helpful. At one time things were disorganized, but that was because they were moving their office to another building. They are happily settled in now and things have been great.
Dr. Anthone has been doing WLS for over 20 years and has done thousands of surgeries. His specialty is the duodenal switch...and I can't speak highly enough of that surgery. I have been so pleased with my results.
I would highly recommend him. You won't be sorry.

I think he is...I have BlueCross/BlueShield of Nebraska and was approved for surgery on the first try.
Another friend of mine has to wait until they become a Blue Distinction of Excellence (or something like that)...although they and the hospital they use are a Center of Excellence...so I'm not sure what the difference is. Her BC/BS is from out of the state of Nebraska.
Their insurance person, Christy, should be able to tell you.
Good luck!

Cool...I didn't know you could do that! If they don't call you, I would definitely give them a call. You'll have to attend one of their seminars. Their next one is on Thursday January 14...I think it starts at 5:30? Maybe 6:30...they can tell you when you talk to them.

Dr. A performed a Panniculectomy and a DS on me during 2009; to date I am down about 166 pounds. I have told everyone that I can that as great a surgeon Dr. A is; he is a better human being. I tell this story as much as I can. After my Panniculectomy on 12/1/08 I was recovering in a nursing home in Omaha. I was having a lot of discomfort from my woundvac; I called his office and they suggested I come into the clinic on the next Monday. I had no sooner hung up the phone; maybe 5 minutes and who walked through my doorway but Dr. A. I was blown away; hehad ridden is bike up on his day off to visit me. He had no idea that I had just placed the call to his office; he just wanted to check on me and see how I was doing. He looked at my belly and told me I could have a "woundvac holiday" which meant I could take it off for a week. It really helped me mentally. I ended up not going back to it and like they say " the rest is history". He ended up staying for about 45 minutes; we talked about Husker football and his time at USC.
I guess my point is; there are surely a lot of very good capable surgeons; probably several in Omaha. But for knowledge; surgical skill and compassionate caring, I don't think you can go wron with Dr.A and his staff. Good luck with your revision.
