Can anyone out there tell me what what the symptoms of dumping are and what can cause it.  Can it mimic low or high blood sugar? Thanks.

Hi Hazel, symptoms of dumping include sweating, diarrhea, nausea and cramping. They do mimic low blood sugar. Dumping is caused from eating refined sugar and it dumps into the small intestine. It is not life threatening but extremely uncomfortable. Mona

Can it happen with other things than refined sugar.  Carbs for instance?  Did I tell you that I have moved to the Norfolk area?  Moved here to take care of my mother.

Hi Hazel, usually it is the refined sugar that causes dumping. Milk can also cause dumping. How do you like it in Norfolk? We have a quarterly teleseminar that you can go to the local  hospital to participate in. Let me know if you are interested and I will get information out to the hospital. Mona

I was also told that drinking while eating or soon after eating can cause the similar symptoms.
