I am 7 years post surgery and find myself only 30 lbs from my heaviest.  I started at 267 and lost to 169.  I am starting the process of finding options and was curious to see if anyone else has found themsevles in this situation.

Hi Dana, go see your surgeon and have your pouch evaluated. Did you have bypass or banding? There are a few people who have had this happen. Good luck. Mona

I am about 9 1/2 years post op, I really never got to my goal of 150# but was at 170 and very happy, I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and have now gained to 200 but I am really worried I am considering a revision but not sure yet, I have tried for the past 3-4 years to get the weight off but no success.  I understand there is a fairly un evasive procedure to repair, just kinda ashamed again I am at this point.  I feel your pain.

What type of surgery did you have?  I had a RNY in 2001, and just had a lap band in 2007. The 2001 surgery was unsuccessful, but appears to have been done wrong. I've had great success with the lap band - lost over 200 lbs. Started at 391lbs in a 34W pants and am hovering around 190 in a size 12 jeans now. Had a lower body lift in Sept and planning to have a breast lift and brachioplasty (arms) in March.
