Speaking of McBride

Whose had her do their surgery and how do you like her? So far the team seems really great. But I'm curious about Dr. McBride. Anybody?
I have my first consult the 9th of Feb!!

I originally had Dr. Sudan before he left and creighton was engulfed by chaos.  I was going to see Dr. Mcbride for my post op visits, she also does the robotics like sudan does.  I ended up going to Dr. Hung in lincoln only because it's closer and I've seen him before.  Good luck whoever you end up chosing. 

 I'm under the impression that Dr. McBride had the surgery herself.  To me that's a plus.  But I had Dr. Hung do my surgery.   Hope this helps.

Yes apparently she has had the lapband!

i here dr mcbride is very good and easy to talk to.  I had my first consult appointment in November and subsequent appointments.  I have met her staff but have yet to meet her.

Dr. Mcbride herself has had the surgery as have several of her helpers.  She is awesome to talk to and extremely supportive. 

Very sympathetic when I went for a port flip & ended up taking the bad out due to erosion.. 

I love that crew.

My primary physician is in Centrla Nebr.  I self referred myself & went to the seminar on my own.  the only thing I had my primary do is provide me with the 3 yrs of medical records needed.  Due to my BMI I didn't need anything else.  He was supportive of my choice.  But I didnt see him for really any reasons related to this choice.  

I had the LB on 12/26/07.  I love Dr. McBride and her team.  I've had nothing but good experiences with them. 

I am happy I found this thread I am scheduled for RNY with Dr. McBride at the end of March and I have been a little nervous since I didn't know anyone local who had been to her.  I didn't realize that she had a band.
