If anyone lives in the Kearney area it would be well worth the drive to attend the Kearney support group meetings.  Linda does an excellent job hosting/leading the meetings.  I drive 40 miles one way to attend  the meetings, I know others drive further then I do.
I am really at a lull in my weight loss and tend to get discouraged right now.  Christmas was a really bad time for me, I did give in to then temptations of cookies and eggnog and rum.   I made myself go to the last meeting even though I know I had a weight gain.

I know we didn't have the same surgery but regardless, it doesn't do yourself any good to beat yourself up over it.  I've been on a carb binge lately (boy it's so hard to stop once you start because then you crave them) and the weight loss has completely ceased.  So, I have to force myself to get back on track, I'm not about to tell myself I'm done losing weight.  I tell myself "Get er done lol".

I need a good swift kick in the butt to keep me going.   Of course hubby wanted lasagna from Valentinos for supper.
I went and bought two chickens gonna make me some good protein meals for the next few days.
I am getting my family motivated to go to the Y with me.  I hate going alone.  I will be glad when the weather gets warmer so I can start walking to work.
I need to lose at least 50 lbs more, I am not gonna accept where I am at.
See ya at the next meeting.

Barb,  like someone at the meeting told me........remember what you would have GAINED if you hadn't had the surgery.  Were your weight standing still before the surgery or was it headed up?  It was my lightbulb moment!

Barb,  like said before, don't beat yourself up...LIFE is LIFE....hey you have already been sucessful, a bump in the road is just that, a bump.

I spent yesterday carbing out and well, I paid dearly for it all night, didn't sleep well, had severe gut ache and gas (I'm one of the lucky or unlucky however you want to look at it who suffers for having carbs esspecially sugar and white flour).

Today I got up threw some ribs in the crock pot for my protein fix  for the next few days (rest of family hates them so I know they are ALLL mine!) and had a nice bowl of bean and bacon soup (high fiber, protein and warm).  The rest of the day I will be fixing my "problem" with carbs yesterday.

Life goes on, we are normal, and I'll guarantee even though who don't or haven't fought the weight monster have had bad carb days/ or bad food choices, and I will also guarantee that they don't beat themselves up they just start the next day making better choices.

I will be making better choices for the rest of the week, cuz man oh man am I STILL paying for the bad choices of yesterday!

Pick out your fav meat and throw into the crock pot for picking at during the day....and some veggies with dip and you have your HEALTHY choice snacks for a few days or a week ....just move on, don't blame cuz it wont' get you anywhere, just set up a new day, a new hour or a new minute and move on!

Hang in there, those 50 lbs will be gone in no time...:)

(oh, and I chew some SF gum if the sweet monster decides to hit me most days...helps a lot, even if I get the non-hungry munchies too...you know the old habit of chewing something all the time dies hard, and is a bad habbit, this way I'm chewing and not paying the price not being hungry but still eating)

HUGS!
