Just wanted to say hello!

Have not been on the board for awhile, just wanted to say hello to all my friends! Hope everyone is doing well and getting their heads in shape for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I have been working on it personally. I don't want to get obsessed with the food part of Thanksgiving but rather reflect on gratitude, a long walk, and staying away from temptations to eat. It is difficult to change your mindset when the holidays roll around. It has always been about food for many of us. I have made alot of progress and don't want to have 5-7 lbs to have to work on losing when it is all over. Weight loss surgery has been a lifesaver for me, but it only works if I work it. May you reflect on all the good things in your life as well. Blessings,

Hi Shelly, You are so right. There is more to celebrating the holidays than eating until you are miserable. Make careful food choices and eat from a small plate. Savor your food. Have a great holiday. Mona
