does medicare pay for plastic surgery

Jilldee, It paid for my tummy tuck because I had sores and rashes that were documented with my PC. Just be careful when looking for a Dr. I didn't check good enough so therefore I need a second and now its "cosmetic" and I cant afford to self pay. My Dr didn't go far enough around and I have dog ears...I also had some inner stitches tear loose and I have a bulge on my lower right side. He told me that the swelling would go away and now 5 years later its just plane ugly. I wasn't his only dissatisfied patient..there were 6 or7 of us and he left the area shortly after my surgery....don't want to discourage you but please check with former patients....Beth
