Just need to talk and I was hoping for our support meeting in North Platte this month.  I am sad and scared I won't get my surgery before my Insurance "grace period" runs out in December.  I have been waiting for a surgery date since the end of July.  The end of August I was scheduled for October 28th (2 month wait) and now I received a call they were canceling my surgery and re-scheduling it for November 25th.  Another add month.  I read many posting on this site (Lap band) and I never seen anyone who had their surgery date wait this long unless it was medical.  Oh well, nothing I can do.  I don't even know the doctors to talk to them.  Met Dr. Forney just once.  I'm at their mercy.  Please pray I make it before my insurance dead line is here.  I don't want to have to start all over.

Hi, I know it is frustrating when you finally make the choice to have surgery to have to wait so long for it. It will be worth it. You will see Dr. Forney and Dr. Holloway the day of your surgery but you may not remember it because you might be sedated. How frustrating for you.  If it were me, I would definitely call his office and explain your situation.  I would think they would be willing to work with you since this is a special situation and an issue of insurance running out.   I'd also make sure to let them know that you would be willing to take the place of any cancellations they may have.

Thank you for you post.  The person scheduling the surgery's knows how I feel and I asked to be put on a cancellation list but I don't think at this time it will be in my cards to go any earlier.  My husband and I have the time schedule to take off for the 25th surgery now.  I just hope they don't cancel it again.  I have been ready since the middle of July.  I completed everything they required, they had the payment and was hoping to have  the surgery completed before school started in August.  Joke on me.  Wish me luck.  Cindy.
